Chew UX Design

Designed in Fall 2019, I created this app using AdobeXD and Figma. I used varying tools to create this prototype. It was my first foray into UI/UX design and I wanted to experiment with this idea for a consumer behavior class project. In the future, I aim to target several improvements and create a full-fledged user research journey through Le Pom, my personal project.

PROMPT

How can we create positive information flow about dieting to the millennial target audience?

We surveyed

15

people

A common sentiment:

"Influencers make me want to look a certain way, and I feel like my current state is unsatisfactory. I have no idea what diets are good and bad, I just follow what influencers do."

USER PERSONAS / TARGET AUDIENCE

I created two unique personas that reflect the type of individuals that would be using this new dieting app.
  • He wants to follow a diet but doesn't know which diet advice to listen to before starting.

  • Wants clear, objective information, to compare various diets to choose the best one

  • Wants to see how others are dieting around the world for inspiration

  • Her doctors tell her to follow a diet, to help with weight loss but she is fearful about starting

  • Wants to hear about other people and their journeys dieting, essentially a support system

  • Wants to track diet in a consistent way

OBJECTIVES

1.

Create a strong information flow and increased dieting options by allowing users to see how others are dieting.

2.

Create an associative group instead of an aspirational one, to break down the negative stereotypes on dieting and increase personality.

3.

Provide sufficient tracking for those to see their dieting progress.
